Dear Scala fans,

The last months of 2011 will be fairly busy and we would like to give you an update of the concerts of Scala & Kolacny Brothers for that period. We hope to have the pleasure to meet you soon at one of these performances.

Scala at Berlin’s ‘Kesselhaus’ in December has become a tradition
(9th – 10th December 2011)

To carry on with their tradition of winter concerts in Berlin, Scala will perform on 9th and 10th December 2011 for the third time in a row at the Kesselhaus in Berlin, an old brewery turned into a fantastic rock concert hall. The whole will bathe in the cosy atmosphere of Christmas markets with glühwein stands and the nice smell of local delicacies. And – what we never thought possible is happening – for the first time ever, Scala will plunge its fans in a Christmas atmosphere. How is this possible? On its Facebook page Scala asked more than 40,000 fans for advice: what Christmas songs would suit Scala? THE question has been asked for ten years, viz. “Will Scala (ever) sing a Christmas song?” The fans’ reactions produced more than 80 songs and suggestions, among which various alternative rock or pop Christmas songs. Exactly the kind of songs Scala was looking for! At the Kesselhaus a selection of those songs will be premièred especially for our fans. Add a few new songs by our pianist Steven Kolacny and the well-known Scala hits and you get a concert that brings down the house. For tickets, click here: Tickets

Scala will be back in London at the “HMV Forum” on 13th December 2011

Not only German fans will enjoy these beautiful December concerts. On 13th December Scala is back to London! Scala gave an overwhelming and sold out debut concert at the Union Chapel (7th June 2011), but will now perform at the HMV Forum. And since London in December means beautifully lit shopping streets and very cosy Christams markets, the setting is ideal for a unique Scala concert. Would you like to be plunged into the Christmas atmosphere? Would you like to see how Scala tries to seduce London again? Book your tickets immediately on Tickets

Scala’s Dublin première at the Olympia Theatre on 14th January 2012

Scala already performed twice in Cork, but this will be Scala’s very first performance in Dublin, a concert which the singers as well as Steven and Stijn have been longing for for many years. Many Irish fans discovered Scala through the trailer of Downton Abbey 2 (Watch the trailer on www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoe3CoxcYm0). We are going to try to conquer their heart with new songs and well-known Scala hits. Tickets can be booked on Tickets

Scala’s Belgian 2011-2012 tour sold out already. Extra concerts in 2012

And last but not least, we are performing again for our Belgian fans. In november 2011 we will resume the ‘Circle’ tour (in Flanders) as well as the ‘Rapsat’ tour (in Wallonia). You will find the list of concerts on http://www.scalachoir.com/en/concerts.html. Yet, as you will see, most of these concerts were sold out already by the time they got on line. So, extra ‘fan’ concerts have been planned in April and May 2012.

Ticket sales for these concerts start today. And ‘you ‘d better be fast!’ for these new concerts are quite different from the earlier ones. The many concerts we gave (among others) in the United States, Germany, England and Spain have inspired Scala and produced a lot of new songs. Scala’s overall look also will be different. The new show for instance contains more movement. Light, videos and the set have been reshaped into a fascinating show. Scala wants its Belgian fans to be the first to experience its artistic innovations. These April and May concerts will give them a fortaste of the ‘new 2012 Scala’.
